Dr. Giaquinto formerly was a CEO and head psychologist for several multi-
specialty clinics in Los Angeles California. He has designed and directed Partial
Hospitalization Programs in California and Florida. He has served as a consultant
to various hospitals, clinics, community organizations and private institutions. Dr.
Giaquinto has specialized in providing psychological assessments to children –
geriatrics for the past 17 years. He has dedicated 20 years conducting research
and providing treatment and assessments to individuals with Schizophrenia and
Mood Disorders. He has formed three psychological corporations and two non-
profit organizations that offer various forms of treatment to the community.
Dr. Giaquinto maintains a private practice in southern California with a focus of
providing treatment to individuals experiencing mood disorders, anxiety, trauma,
post traumatic stress, marital issues, family issues, domestic abuse, alcohol/drug
issues and various life issues. Treatment utilizes a cognitive-behavioral
approach with the goal of returning the individual to a more logical, manageable,
and rational level of functioning to produce goal-directed thinking and behavior.
A sub-specialized focus of treatment is in behavioral/health medicine and how
medical conditions and physical health can be additionally improved and
managed with psychological interventions.
He obtained his B.A. from Holy Cross College, an M.S. in clinical/counseling
psychology from Assumption Graduate School and an M.A. and Ph.D. from the
California School of Professional Psychology.
