
Elizabeth Kiriakos, M.A.

Elizabeth Kiriakos graduated summa cum laude with her BA in Psychology from
California State University, Sacramento and received her MA in Marriage and
Family Therapy from Hope University in Fullerton, CA.
Elizabeth began her training in marriage and family therapy at the Hope
Counseling Center in Fullerton, CA, where she worked with children, adults and
couples addressing anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships, social skills
and parenting. Elizabeth continued her training at Penny Lane Centers as an
Outpatient Therapist where she counseled children with attachment disorders,
learning disabilities, mental retardation, oppositional defiant disorders,
bereavement, depression, anxiety and more. Additionally, she provided family
therapy utilizing the Functional Family Therapy model and facilitated socialization
groups for children. Before coming to work with David Plotkin, Ph.D. and
Associates, Elizabeth had been working with adults and couples in private
practice under Dr. Ann K. Wexler, Ph.D. in Beverly Hills, focusing on interpersonal
relationships, anxiety, depression, dependency, self-esteem, stress management,
life transitions and parenting.
Elizabeth currently works with adolescents and adults on developing a cohesive
sense of self, maintaining healthier and more satisfying relationships, and
alleviating the presence of depression and anxiety in their lives.
